A very suspenseful book, with ups and downs reaching peaks and valleys, a great Confucian businessman Mr. Qiao appears vividly on the page.
There are three gangs of heroes, and even the murderer Liu Heiqi has a sense of justice to save the country. The death of his father and son is regrettable.
The eldest wife was dignified and beautiful and focused on the overall interests of the family. The eldest sister-in-law was a mother but died a life of staunchness, which was poignant and shocking.
The plot has twists and turns, including the hard work of a group of close friends, the emotional bond between two loving women, and the fearlessness of many righteous men.
Worth reading and having a long aftertaste.
