There is no more light in the world, and you are no longer in the light! "Next time you pass by, I will be gone in the world." "Thirty years are just a smoke to you. Tired, pilgrim. Old, pedestrian." What a beautiful poem, such a beautiful artistic conception. There are all kinds of emotions in the poems, but they are all so strong that they cannot be dissolved. Whether they are about nostalgia, the love between husband and wife, or the scenery, each sentence needs to be savored several times. For a pure poet, the poetry collection is always beautiful enough to accommodate everything: family and country, beautiful scenery, history, love... I haven't read poetry for many years, and it is really a new reading experience.
Poems need to be read slowly. I still remember Mr. Yu's love words: You are all in my peripheral vision~❤
There is no gorgeous rhetoric, no tearing shouts, and there is more calmness and depth in his poems. He can delicately write about spring lotuses and water chestnuts, and also lightly write about the distance and melancholy of his hometown. He writes what he sees and hears into poems, and then uses poems to unfold and pave it all, allowing people to see the beauty at the bottom. His emotions are gentle. He pays attention to every little thing and collects them quietly. This is a collection of warm poems that can resonate with people's emotions. Although he no longer exists in the world, there are scenery he has seen everywhere.
Reading through the complete book, we can clearly feel that from the late 1950s to the mid-1970s, Yu Guangzhong's poems showed a relatively strong lyricism. The use of techniques in modern Western poetry also made the early poems slightly obscure. But by the end of the 1970s, and starting from the 1980s, Yu Guangzhong's poetic style gradually became more narrative-oriented and contained more philosophical thinking. His demeanor and temperament are closer to traditional Chinese poetry. Many of his later poems describe what he sees and thinks in a "story-telling" way. Some poems even do not contain any "principles" and are just simple narratives as a tool to carry a feeling. Yu Guangzhong is a master with a very profound foundation in traditional culture. Perhaps because he was influenced by traditional poetry culture, he pursued the artistic realm of returning to nature.
Read slowly! Obviously we are in the same world, but the same feelings will be discovered and expressed from different angles. Our empathic parts are different, and long-lasting thoughts will be placed in the corner of our minds by time. Love life and discover that the little things are really beautiful. Life is an experience.
To read poetry is to slow down, slow down to read poetry and read life. Slow down and savor the author's emotions, your own emotions. Read it once, twice, and review it many times to experience the different emotions that life slowly settles over time.
"When I was a boy, my pen was stained by either the aftermath of Heatoncline or the water of the Thames. The wine industry was nothing more than the wine of 1842." Yu Guangzhong is a complex and changeable poet. The trajectory of his changing writing style can basically be said to be the trend of the entire Chinese poetry world for more than thirty years, that is, first westernizing and then returning. In the early poetry debates in Taiwan and the local literature debate in the mid-1970s, Yu Guangzhong's poetic theories and works strongly showed the tendency to advocate Westernization, ignore readers, and be divorced from reality.
Through an unusual love story, it shows the complexity of human nature and the cruelty of society. The whole story is emotionally delicate, profound and moving, making people feel strong resonance. At the same time, the author's writing style is fresh and smooth, and the language is simple and poetic, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the situation of the story. All in all, it is an out-and-out famous and classic novel. It has a wonderful plot and profound characters. Reading it makes people feel strongly shocked and thinking, and allows them to deeply explore human nature and society.
Next time you pass by, I will be gone. After reading it, everyone may have different feelings, but this is what I need, so take your time and taste it.
It's good to read poetry collections. You should read more poetry.
This book made me feel Mr. Yu Guangzhong's deep attachment to his hometown. His beautiful writing made me feel like I was immersed in the beautiful scenery of Jiangnan. Especially when I read "Even if we meet, they will not accompany me/accompany me to pick lotus, accompany me to pick water chestnuts", it reminds me of my hometown and relatives, and makes me cherish the time with them even more. However, I don't really like the kings of Wu and Yue in the poem. Their wars destroyed the beauty of Jiangnan. This book is really good, I recommend it to you!
From different works, we can get a glimpse of the author's unique thinking perspective and innovative description methods, which seem to give us different perspectives on everything in the world. A sense of novelty arises spontaneously, which makes me understand that the world is different in everyone's eyes. It also makes me understand that the power of words is shocking.
