Over the past several decades, one tragedy after another has struck the Yabuki family. Two couples murdered each other in the lavish bedrooms of the Black Death Mansion, then took their own lives. The castle, built by Dr. Yabuki San Tetsu and named after the Black Death, was shrouded in an aura of terror. In truth, the Yabuki family itself was descended from a long line of infamous witches and poisoners. And the four musicians who followed Dr. San Tetsu from Europe to Japan, never once setting foot outside the castle from infancy to adulthood, were a favorite subject of gossip. As for their master, Dr. San Tetsu, he had taken his own life in the mansion only recently.

In this murky and uncertain atmosphere, death returned to the Black Death Mansion.
