Removing most of the pretentious and ostentatious science parts would not affect the reading. The actual reasoning part is written in a mess... Each character is portrayed as extremely neurotic, as if they would not be able to speak or communicate without exaggerated body movements such as fearful expressions and trembling. The level of boredom and incomprehensible expressions is comparable to that of Yumeno Hisaku next door, which is considered a characteristic of the times. I personally don't like this style, but others may like it.
