I haven't finished reading it yet, but this book is mainly written from the perspective of a judicial worker, and it also analyzes some cases very realistically. It is worth reading.

The writing is very good. It overlaps with the FBI psychology and other books on my bookshelf in many places. Many things in psychology are the same thing. It depends on how you understand it. The author's understanding is partially similar to mine. But it's a bit uncomfortable to read the preface. There are no links (explanations) in the marked places. Some people I have never heard of. Maybe I am ignorant.

Looks good, but feels a bit short

This book is great, you can follow the author to explore the case together. As the name suggests, criminal psychology is a professional course that studies criminal phenomena, including criminal behavior, emotion and cognition. It mainly discusses the causes and classification of criminal behavior, as well as how to view the testimony of witnesses and observe the physical details of witnesses. I like the unraveling of the cocoon in the second half. In the face of complex criminal activities, we need to maintain enough patience and a clear mind, conduct a comprehensive analysis of their words and deeds from a psychological perspective, and avoid looking at the problem in a one-sided and rigid manner. I feel that the study of criminal psychology is different from other psychology. It requires more rigorous thinking and sharp insight. The slightest mistake can lead to a huge mistake, so we must be cautious.

The author let me know: the subject of psychology studies the human soul and the entire consciousness process of life, and its goal is to discover the occurrence and correlation laws of human thinking. Regardless of whether this correlation implies an objective reflection of the object of thought, as long as the mechanism by which thinking acquires objectively valid knowledge is logical, all questions about whether thinking itself conforms to formal norms are actually not within the scope of psychological investigation. The general problem of psychology is to describe real mental events as they occur, to analyze them down to their simplest elements, and since only the problems of purely applied reasoning in psychology are relevant to us, we only need to find out the laws of combination that can define this image and problem, that is, how the mind achieves this combination.

Criminal psychology has become very popular in recent years, and I even took a minor in a criminal psychology course at the school next door. This book mainly explores the dark and twisted inner world of criminals and finds the psychological roots of criminal behavior. This is the purpose of criminal psychology. Moreover, it is not an obscure textbook, but a popular book on criminal psychology. It is generally relatively easy to understand. It is a very good read for those who are getting started or are interested in this subject.

Criminals actually have different personality traits, or they are not completely disgusting in appearance; this overview of modern criminal science aims to allow readers to not only understand criminal science from the perspective of "crime and punishment", but also to truly understand the people who commit crimes and the motivations behind them; in other words, genetics, physiological factors and a person's character all need to be considered in the final sentencing.
