The author, Leng Fo, whose original name is Wang Zuohao and whose pen name is Leng Fo, is Manchu and a native of Beijing. Born in 1858, year of death unknown. He once served as the editor of the supplement "Shenggao Zazu" of "Shengjing Times" and has written many books. The main novels include "Chun Ashi", "The Golden Ring", "Pearl Tower", "Bad Society", etc. "Water Margin" has twenty chapters in total. It describes how Song Jiang, Wu Yong and others tried every possible means to sabotage the imperial court to recruit peace, and even sent assassins to assassinate Lin Chong and others who wanted to recruit peace. It also described how Liangshan robbed families and homes, attacked cities and counties, and brought serious disasters to the people.
