The Young Master of Spring Lanterns

The Spring Lantern Young Master's annual feast for the martial world was a grand occasion. It had been held for many years, almost like an ordinary seasonal rite. Yet the host's origins were a mystery, and the banquet's location was as elusive as the Peach Blossom Spring, impossible to find in the real world or in the memories of those who had attended. The only evidence that it ever existed was a collection of twenty poems and lyrics, passed down from hand to hand. These works were said to have been the highlight of the Spring Lantern Banquet: stories crafted over the course of a year by a storyteller secretly chosen from among the guests, each one meant to astonish the audience and earn the young master's praise.
