Of the seventy-two trades, antiques reign supreme.
Lin Pin, a female fixer who moves between the underworld and respectable society, and Gu Xitang, born into a family of collectors, are natural enemies. They clash at every turn, utterly unable to get along.
Lin Pin thinks Gu Xitang is a pretentious show-off: she grew up eating foreign food, yet makes a point of worrying about Chinese affairs. Her impeccable patriotism is downright irritating.
Gu Xitang thinks Lin Pin is adorable. She's clearly a good person, yet insists on acting fierce beneath her wolf's hide. Her bared claws are impossible not to love.
Bamboo slips from the Eastern Han, porcelain jars from the Yuan, bronzes from the Three Dynasties, blue-and-white porcelain from the Tang... Countless antique treasures come to light, sending shockwaves far and wide.
Love sways back and forth, and neither can tell right from wrong.
I feel that the identity of the author is not simple! Either rich or noble! Either he is a top student majoring in archeology, or he is the heir to a family of collectors! Do the seven families mentioned in the novel really exist? Are those amazing antiques also real? The novel is really well written, I recommend it be made into a TV series!
The plot and characters are well described. The author has put a lot of effort into describing the antiques. It's worth five⭐️
The structure is rigorous and clear, the writing is smooth and solid, the plot is not procrastinating, and the characters have three-dimensional emotions. It is a particularly good book. I feel that it can be followed up, such as the case of the Lin family back then 🤭🤭
The male and female protagonists met in antiques, went from being in opposition to falling in love with each other, and finally worked together to protect cultural relics. The author presents pieces of art in front of our eyes through words, allowing art to be sublimated. What a great book!
It's such a good book, I was almost delayed by the rating. I like Lin Sankou and Gu Xitang very much. Feelings of family and country, three views on life, the bottom line... Selfishness and greed will make people fall into the abyss Antiques are the inheritance of five thousand years of Chinese culture, and loving people are the most beautiful inheritors!
I was in a book shortage, so I happened to read this book and felt that it was different. I read it in one sitting, and it was indeed different and it lived up to my expectations. I don't know much about antique collecting, but I really think the author's writing style is really good and his views are unambiguous.
It's very beautiful and the description is very detailed. I want to know the author's background. Hahaha. The writing style is also very good. I highly recommend reading.
It's rare to review a book. The content is really novel. It's a field that an old bookworm like me has not yet explored. It's great! If the name were changed, I think it would definitely be better.
Personally I like it better! I read the whole story without abandoning it in one go. I liked the sincerity of the heroine and her fiery temper. Fortunately, I met a male protagonist who was clingy and devoted to the heroine. The length of the article, the rhythm, and the proportion of the emotional line and the career line are arranged just right. The overall feeling is very comfortable😊It is highly recommended, and I hope it can be made into a TV series👍
It's very interesting. The male protagonist is so perfect that he can't be replaced in reality. Haha, the justice of family and country is very good. It's a very thoughtful book. I highly recommend it!
