Ming Zi came to this world to find Zhai Wangyan and help him claim the throne and unify the realm.
But she accidentally became a notorious thief, stealing from a thousand homes under cover of night and plucking stars and moons from the sky.
Though she stole from the rich to help the poor, everyone wanted her caught. The whole city put out a wanted notice for her, and she nearly ended up locked away for life.
Fortunately, she was rescued by Zhai Wangyan through a twist of fate and somehow became his junior fellow disciple.
Zhai Wangyan had always thought he had fallen for his junior fellow disciple, and spent every day anxious about his own shameful thoughts.
He recited the Heart Sutra every day to atone for his sins.
But when he woke one morning, he discovered that his junior fellow disciple was not only wearing rouge and embroidering a purse, but also putting on a skirt to go on a blind date with a man!
He had never imagined it! The junior fellow disciple he spent every day with was actually a girl?!
