The Qipao Master

In a turbulent age, he wielded no guns or cannons, yet with needle and thread he upheld the dignity of the Chinese people.

Their love could not last, but he remained devoted, willing to follow her through life and death rather than betray the love of this life.

Flowers bloom for a season, people live for a hundred years, and in the end it is all no more than a half-remembered dream.

Though life and death are fated, better for the flower's soul to turn to ash than to endure years of separation and bring misery to all.

So it was with him, and so it was with the qipao.
