Feng Xi was the most revered immortal phoenix of the Phoenix Clan. From the day she was born, she was betrothed to the Heavenly Sovereign's son.
But her elder sister and fiancé conspired against her, stealing her phoenix bloodline and ruining her appearance.
When she awoke on the brink of death, she had become the ninth disciple of Xuan Xiao, the most dazzling and gifted Divine Lord of the carefree Immortal Path Sect.
Ugly and with her bloodline dormant, she endured scorn and humiliation at the sect.
To avenge herself, she worked hard at cultivation and, under Xuan Xiao's guidance, mastered the art of alchemy.
As they spent every day together, she also developed feelings for Xuan Xiao that she should never have had.
When her fellow disciples bullied her, she kept her composure and repaid them in kind.
When female disciples who admired Xuan Xiao plotted against her, her keen wit and subtle schemes made them suffer the consequences.
Her bloodline gradually awakened, her looks slowly returned, and her breathtaking beauty won the adoration of countless disciples.
To heal Xuan Xiao's hidden injuries, she was misled into stealing the sect's supreme treasure for suppressing demons, setting off turmoil among the demon race.
She returned to the Carefree Immortal Path Sect with the spirit medicine in her hands, only to be met by her master's sword piercing her heart.
Falsely accused of colluding with the demon race...
Her bloodline exposed...
Her master suddenly engaged to someone else...
Her inner demon erupted, and she transformed into a demon.
