Su Yin takes on Chen Yu, a good-for-nothing turned genius doctor, showing off all the way in the city and getting slapped in the face all the time, it's a pure and refreshing story. But writing it like this would have an obvious sense of inconsistency with the "aura of the protagonist". Father Lin and Mother Lin are also worldly people who like to compare. They often hit Chen Yu when he was a "waste". Why did Su Yin still raise him as an ancestor after his death? He gets slapped in the face countless times, but he favors his own family, which is always a bit uncomfortable to watch. But overall, it is still a great novel, five stars!
