In the dim yellow light, the exquisitely handsome young man braced one hand on the table and leaned close to the girl, exuding a sense of danger. An ethereal, sinister aura surfaced on his pale face and seemed to coil around her.
The girl instinctively leaned back, nearly pressing against the makeup mirror behind her. In the reflection, the young man narrowed his alluring phoenix eyes. His faint breath brushed against her face, making it itch.
Parting his thin lips, he stated the truth with an air of absolute arrogance. “An Xuanyi, do you know how long I’ve been putting up with you?! You lost the contract, got the call time wrong, and picked up the wrong script! I can’t even count all your offenses on both hands. Haven’t you caused enough chaos for us already?”
“555… I won’t do it again.” The girl lowered her head in shame.
The young man lifted his left hand and gently pinched her chin, forcing her to look up at him. Just a few centimeters separated them, and strands of ambiguity wound through the air as the temperature in the room suddenly rose, growing more intense by the moment.
“Please stop tormenting me, okay?” The mist curling from his lips seemed to carry the intoxicating fragrance of datura.
“Believe me, I’ll definitely fix my mistakes.” Like a lost lamb, the girl gazed at him imploringly.
“No. No matter how much you change, there’s one thing you can’t change: I love you!” The young man’s righteous declaration brought a flush to the girl’s face. He paused, then pleaded like a child. “So from now on, you can only look at me. You’re not allowed to smile at anyone but me.”
If you take my hand, I’ll hold it until our hair turns white.
