She is a princess of a kingdom, breathtakingly beautiful, yet no one has paid her any attention in sixteen years. Deep in the palace, she has long since seen through the warmth and coldness of human hearts and the fickleness of the world. Cool and proud, rational and shrewd, decisive and ruthless, she has a powerful force hidden behind her that no one knows about.
When her kingdom falls, lies and betrayals come one after another. The childhood companion who had always stayed by her side turns out to be nothing but an illusion, leaving her with almost nothing. From then on, they become strangers.
Just as she is lost and confused, he enters her life. Cold and merciless, he has searched for her for years ever since their encounter long ago. He helps her, cherishes her, and loves her, willing even to give up his life, all so she might show him the tenderness buried deep in her heart.
He is her senior fellow disciple, rational and aloof, quiet and taciturn, yet he smiles warmly only for her.
He is a ruler, lost to her at a single glance, and willingly lets her use him.
He is the head of a sect, seductive in red and bloodthirsty and cruel, yet he willingly disguises himself and guards her in silence just to see her smile.
Just as she thinks everything has finally settled, the benefactor from her past reappears and tears her world apart. As the truth comes to light, who is she really? And who is her true enemy?
It's a nice short story, the plot is clear and not laggy, and the author has certain literary skills. I like this type of novel very much.
It's not bad but it's too short and some plots can't be described clearly and impressively.
Not bad, a little sad
