My personal guess about the worldview: First of all, there are no producers in the fog, and any ecosystem requires huge producers to maintain, so there must be substitute producers. My current guess is that at first the producers are played by humans, with low-level consumers such as cockroaches providing energy. When humans are almost evolved or the remaining ones are difficult to catch, cockroaches and the like will act as producers and become the source of energy for the lower levels.
