The protagonist, Su Yi, was an ordinary young office worker in the city. One night, after working late, he went home and fell asleep. When he woke, he found himself in another world, inhabiting the body of someone being hunted. He was saved by Mei Ya, the beautiful owner of an auction house. Su Yi discovered that his new body had an astonishing talent for cultivation. Though still young, he was already a master. Unfortunately, someone later destroyed his battle-qi core, making it impossible for him to become a Battle Practitioner. He fell from the heights of genius to the depths of failure. Because Mei Ya looked after him, Di Yuan grew jealous and retaliated against him. Badly wounded, Su Yi discovered that the jade pendant he always carried had healed his injuries, and that his body had become even stronger afterward. When he returned to the auction house, he learned that the powerful Lie family had been robbed. The evidence pointed to a Heaven-tier cultivator, and Su Yi even dreamed that he was the mysterious bandit, slaughtering people in a frenzy. Later, at the auction house, he met a mysterious old man in a black robe who was selling battle techniques. The old man told him that if cultivating battle qi was out of reach, he could cultivate his body instead, which caught Su Yi’s interest. The old man’s Black-Tier Advanced battle technique, Heaven and Earth Rotation, was bought by Lie Chen. As Su Yi was paying the old man, a mass of black energy unexpectedly invaded his body. After he returned home, a piercing pain swept through him, and his body underwent a complete transformation. Su Yi then broke through the limits that had kept him from cultivating battle qi, obtained the Blood of Heaven and Earth, and, through arduous cultivation, reached the pinnacle of martial arts!
