Cruel violence is humanity's oldest form of entertainment. There is no need to list all the instruments of torture here. They all serve the same purpose: torment. Whether it was the punishment of roasting, the Reaper's scythe machine, or the saw, crowds of excited spectators always gathered to watch. People treated them as a pastime.

Through his diary, the killer Ren Fei reveals the methods of a deranged murderer and the ways he tortures people. I have gathered his diary and published it here partly to raise my own profile, and partly because I was stunned by the techniques Ren Fei used. For a fleeting moment, I even thought of him as an artistic creator, but my reason quickly suppressed that thought. Now I wonder: did Ren Fei leave behind this diary and demand its publication simply to stir up humanity's primal desire for violence?
