The Kingdom and You

They say good people don't live long, so I became a villain. I wanted a loyal dog, so I bestowed upon him the thing called love, and he became mine. I wanted the world to know no more war, so my loyal dog eliminated my rivals and unified the land. I wanted power and status, so my loyal dog raised me to the position of chancellor. From then on, I was second only to the emperor and above all others. He said, "I take you as my master." He said, "I'll keep you safe." He said, "I love you." I said, "I miss you." It turns out villains must be punished, too. I'm begging you, come back to me... The realm or you, I choose you.
