The Princess Consort Takes Charge

“My prince, could you please stop squeezing into my bed?” Ye Yang said impatiently.

“This is my manor. I can sleep wherever I please.”

“My prince, if you’re going to sleep, then sleep. Could you please stop groping me?”

“This is my manor. I can touch whoever I please.”

“If you would only give yourself to me, you could be mistress of this manor.”

My prince, if you live, I’ll wear red, and let my three thousand strands of hair wait for you to tie them up. If you die, I’ll wear white and spend the rest of my life by the Buddha’s side, a lamp burning before me.

My princess, through the blue mists and rain, I’ll wait alone for your return. Of the three thousand waters, I’ll drink from only one cup. In life and death, I made my vow to you: never leave me.

If there is a next life, I’ll still follow you. I hope you’ll return as promised, and won’t let me down.

Sweet, heartbreaking, and full of affection.
