Because Lu Guoning’s spiritual root had disappeared, people bullied her and tossed her into a snake pit as if it were a joke. She was scared to death.
A modern-day special forces soldier transmigrates into her body. After waking up, she crawls out of the snake pit and returns to the Lu family, where she faces the arrogant and overbearing Lu Yan. Lu Yuan is injured while saving her. Just then, the head of the Lu family, who is also her grandfather, emerges from seclusion.
When she is tested again, her spiritual root suddenly returns. Her grandfather vows to nurture her, much to the displeasure of the elders.
Fearing the threat she poses, Lu Yan and the others kidnap Lu Yuan and lure her out, hoping to finish her off for good.
Lu Guoning is no match for them, but unexpectedly summons Xiao Feng, who burns them all with a single burst of flame. Lu Yan manages to escape thanks to a magical artifact, but is left disfigured.
Lu Guoning, now drained of all spiritual power, is rescued by Gong Baiming, who had been watching the scene from the shadows. When she returns to the Lu family, she discovers that her grandfather has died of old age. The Second Elder wants to put her in power so he can control her, but the Third Elder objects.
Well enough! A bit interesting
Gong Baiming is so stupid. Negative review
