Mo Changge felt that ever since he met this little monster, he’d been saddled with one big headache after another. The little monster was adorable and timid, but had a knack for getting into trouble and could be unreasonable at times. As a renowned general, he should have kept his distance from such a creature. But at some point, the little monster became inseparable from him, and Mo Changge found himself straying further and further from his usual persona.
…
Little monster: “General Mo, I really can’t eat any more. Sister Taohua says wasting food is bad. Do you want the rest?”
Soldiers: “Our general is a neat freak. He never wears the same clothes two days in a row and always keeps himself spotless. He never hangs out with us rough old men, let alone eats food someone else has already touched.”
Then their general took the bowl in silence, looking displeased all the while.
…
Little monster: “I can’t sleep. Sister Taohua used to sing me songs. General Mo, will you sing for me?”
Soldiers: “Our general is every inch the mighty, manly hero. Singing is something he would never do.”
Then their general rolled his eyes at the little monster and resigned himself to singing.
…
Soldiers: “General! What happened to your persona?”
Mo Changge replied expressionlessly, “I suppose it got eaten.”
