Back to the Stone Age

Li Shilu had been fascinated by China's mysterious traditions since childhood. After graduating from university, he stayed on to work at a folklore museum so he could devote himself to research. After spending some time preparing and organizing his materials, Li Shilu set out, following his grandfather's description, to find a mysterious cave and its equally mysterious inhabitants. He followed the white stone road, but slipped and fell, knocking himself unconscious. When he opened his eyes again, he had been reborn in a prehistoric age. The whole experience left him speechless, but there was clearly no way back, so Li Shilu resigned himself to staying with the Ling clan. He went hunting with the tribespeople and was astonished to learn that they had no concept of traps. Still, he wasn't in a hurry to share his modern knowledge. If he wanted to bring about change, he first had to adapt to their way of life and work. Misapplying what he knew could easily get him rejected by this society. After more than ten days of hunting, Li Shilu gradually became part of the group. After much thought about his circumstances, he decided to abandon some of the taboos of the civilized world. This was an age when survival was uncertain from one day to the next. If he didn't take the initiative, all that awaited him was death. He bent his bow and shot poisoned arrows, hunted tigers and drove off wolves, led the clan on a great migration, survived an attack by the lake, and reunited the clan to settle down. At the outset of their new settlement, they named themselves the Hua Tribe. They made tools and pottery, and practiced slash-and-burn farming. They reclaimed land, built ships, and formed their first alliance. They explored the plains, fought in every direction, and spread their civilization until the first great nation emerged. From having nothing to building a nation, Li Shilu struggled onward in silence, ultimately ushering in a new era for the prehistoric world!
