My Years in the Morgue

My name is Cheng Tianle. Honestly, I really don't live up to it! I've spent over twenty years barely ever feeling happy, and my life has been one disaster after another. The day I was born was nothing short of extraordinary. Strange signs appeared in the heavens: a rare alignment of nine stars, something seen only once in a thousand years. You often hear about seven-star alignments on TV or in novels, but I was born under nine stars, two more than everyone else. That just goes to show how special I am, right?
