The Tale of Physician Consort Xiyan

Abandoned by her parents at birth because she had congenital heart disease, she was adopted, but still did not live past the age of twenty-three. When she awoke, she had been born into a fictional dynasty in an alternate history. She witnessed her birth mother being murdered with her own eyes, and discovered that she was a princess. Yet her father ignored her, and her “mother” never cared for her. After barely managing to grow up in the imperial harem, she could not escape her fate of being sent away in a political marriage. Her intended husband was the Netherworld King, feared and loathed by everyone in the Great Zhou. Ever since a terrible fire left him disfigured, the king had become ruthless and cruel. Rumor had it that he suffered from a secret illness and took pleasure in stripping the skin from beautiful women. Not a single woman sent to the Netherworld King’s residence had ever come out alive... What kind of sparks will fly when this lonely woman meets a man just as lonely as she is?
