Divine Desolation

The ancient continent was annihilated in a war among the gods, and the mighty gods themselves were wiped out in a single night. The shattered ancient continent recombined into the New Beginning Continent and countless islands. The forces of another dimension known as the Demon Clan invaded the New Beginning Continent. The newly formed continent's still-maturing races joined forces and routed them. The edges of the New Beginning Continent broke apart, and countless races fled into the deep sea. Conflict erupted among the great races that remained, until the five sacred human lands rose to prominence and seized the Central Divine Province, slaughtering or subduing the rebellious races. But two of the sacred lands were destroyed, and their teachings spread beyond them, giving rise to numerous sects. From then on, the gods were never seen again.

When the Eastern Region's sacred land was ambushed and its people slaughtered, its successor, Li Qingshui, was frozen for a thousand years. A thousand years later, the world had become an entirely different place. And that person, the one who had driven a sword into his heart with tender affection, had become the only empress on the New Beginning Continent!
