In the second year of Tiansheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1024), the 16-year-old Di Qing was "arrested and sent to Beijing for his brother's crime, and his name was red". He created a legendary life of "from soldier to marshal, from commoner to prime minister". He became Song Renzong's favorite general and the only general who served as privy envoy in the Northern Song Dynasty. He was known as the famous general of the generation of "Northern Wuxiang and Southern Wumu", and later generations respected him as the "War God of the Northern Song Dynasty".
