Demon Master Feng

In the final years of the Qing Dynasty, the nation was in turmoil. Legends of Nuwa mending the heavens and a nine-tailed fox bringing chaos to the world spread like wildfire. Some said the old woman in the Forbidden City was the reincarnation of a nine-tailed fox, and that was why the Qing Dynasty was doomed. Others claimed the White Lotus Holy Mother in the south was the fox demon herself, and that was why the land was in such turmoil. Yet another wise man declared that the two women's fates were so powerful they had disrupted the fortune of all of China, bringing on a cataclysm that would sweep across heaven and earth. Shen Wei practiced a wild, unorthodox form of Taoism that traditional sects scorned, and worked as an exorcist, a trade esteemed sects looked down on. But in this age of rampant demons and cataclysmic upheaval, he became the hero who could turn the tide.

His surname is Shen, his given name Wei, and his courtesy name Daonong. He burns incense and paper to forge a true dragon. The unorthodox ways are all the Way; slaying demons and banishing evil are all part of Zen.
