The Hongmeng Emperor Ancestor

When the universe first began, heaven and earth were chaos, and the primordial void came into being. According to one account, there were three thousand Great Dao, eight hundred unorthodox paths, and a total of three thousand eight hundred strands of primordial purple qi. Hongjun obtained the Jade Disc of Creation on Mount Buzhou. This supreme treasure existed before heaven and earth were formed and contained forty-nine strands of purple qi. When Pangu split the heavens and earth, it suffered a heavenly calamity and shattered into four pieces. Hongjun obtained seven strands and thus attained the Great Dao, while the rest vanished without a trace. Little did anyone know that some of the primordial qi dissipated throughout the universe, while some fell among famous mountains and great rivers. Still more settled within spiritual ley lines, absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth until they gradually gained sentience! Blessed with the world's creation, they came to understand yin and yang, perceive change, cultivate, and attain the Great Dao.
