This is a living building, one that allows no other living beings to exist within it. Everyone who has ever lived there has died, and everyone who approaches it goes mad. Yet doctoral student Xu Miaoyin moves in, determined to protect the ancestral home that has been in her family for three hundred years. But her resolve is met with paper figures knocking on the door by day, a woman’s sobs and a child’s laughter at night, and the sight of her best friend spontaneously bursting into flames! The living building has begun to threaten her, as if trying to drive her out. She will fight back and overcome everything within its walls. But in the end, who will emerge victorious?
