The Eunuch Has a Happy Event: His Consort Weds No Other

She is a commandery princess of the prince's estate, condemned to death. Disguised as a maid, she returns to the halls of the powerful to avenge the entire household. She is willing to ingest a poisonous gu, and even takes the all-powerful eunuch at court as her “adoptive father.”

She laughs. “Then I’ll do my best to distance myself from you!”

He says, “Once I’ve warmed you up, you belong to me. Even in death, you’ll be my ghost!”
