Journey to the West: Mythic Tang Arrives, and the Pilgrimage Becomes a Demon Hunt

Tang Sheng transmigrated to the world of Journey to the West and became Xuanzang, the Pilgrim.

At first, he only wanted to lie flat and wait until he reached the Western Heaven, where he could become a Buddha.

What he didn't expect was that, before he set out on his pilgrimage,

mythical Tang, the Sacred Tang, descended and merged with the Tang dynasty in the world of Journey to the West.

Everyone in the Sacred Tang was a dragon among men. Even ordinary people were born with physiques on par with those of earthly immortals.

Xuanzang became the Sacred Tang's most powerful demon-slaying mage. The Tang Emperor sent him to the Western Ox Continent to exterminate demons.

Well, the destination hadn't changed, but the pilgrimage had turned into demon hunting.

Am I supposed to flatten Mount Ling now?

That day, every demon along the western journey recalled the terror of being ruled by a bald monk.

Tathagata: "Xuanzang, you brought the Great Peng here to accuse me. Do you have any respect for Mount Ling?"

The Jade Emperor: "The Sacred Tang army is about to storm the Heavenly Court. My ministers, what should we do?"
