Three Lives

I awakened in confusion, grew within the currents of fate, and searched for the home in my memories. In my youth, I met her. Sadly, my heart was always set on a greater cause. I slowly fell in love with her, but didn't dare to say so. In the end, that love sank into reincarnation, and my heart sank with it. I encountered reincarnation through Buddhism: her three thousand strands of black hair fell over her red robe. Her beauty dimmed the world, and her smile ensnared all living beings. The soft plucking of the ancient zither in her hands awakened my sunken heart, stirring it and drawing it toward love. This time, I will cherish her above all else. Fate was unjust: it was a plot by Buddhism, and the whole Central Region stood in our way. After that, the Heavenly Sect fell, the heavenly tribulation drew near, and she and I began our cycle of reincarnation.
