Valkyrie of the End: The Goddess Begs Me to Come Out of Seclusion and Slay the Gods

My name is Lin Yuan. I have lived for countless ages.

I saw the dinosaurs perish beneath a meteorite. I saw primeval behemoths. I saw gods create humanity.

I saw Yu the Great tame the floods, standing right beside him.

I passed through the old strategic passes of the six states that the First Emperor toured. I taught countless emperors, saving their crumbling realms from collapse.

Eventually, I retired to an antique shop in a bustling city, taking in the heroic spirits of history and putting them to work for me.

I taught Wang Xizhi to draw talismans, the First Emperor to transform his qi sea into a dragon, Taibai the meaning of sword intent, and Huang Zhong how to shoot down nine stars with a single arrow!

But just as I was settling into a peaceful retirement,

a woman found her way here and knelt before me. Her expression was earnest, and her eyes held nothing but resolve.

"Brunhilde, Valkyrie, begs you to come out of retirement and slay the gods! The gods' Valhalla Council has ruled that humanity must be exterminated! But I know that you are the one who once slew a god in history... a human!!!"
