Traces Beyond the Stars: The Lost Civilization

When did humanity first gaze up at the stars? No one knows. But we do know that back when our ancestors still lived on raw meat and blood, they were already gazing up at the stars and pondering everything about this world: Where did the world come from, and where is it going? Where did we come from, and where are we going? Does the world have an end?

As humanity has evolved, the development of our brains has not kept pace. For tens of thousands of years, from primitive humans to modern people, a brain weighing only about 1,400 grams has served us all along. In a sense, modern people are no smarter than primitive humans. We simply stand on the shoulders of giants, inheriting the experience of our ancestors and accumulating more knowledge. If there is other intelligent life beyond Earth, could the rapid progress we pride ourselves on seem like nothing more than a hesitant shuffle to intelligent beings in outer space?
