Questioning the Heart

Set in a future world of supernatural abilities, this story chronicles people's aspirations and disappointments, the process of their personalities becoming twisted and distorted until they lose their conscience, and the struggle to hold on to their principles and moral limits while fighting to survive through the vicissitudes of fate.

People cannot find redemption by running away or numbing themselves, and they cannot avoid the truth. Examining one's conscience means reflecting and questioning, confronting the ugliness in oneself or others. It reminds us that there is another way to live: with a little dignity and integrity, as the old saying goes.
