League of Legends: Seventeen That Year, Unstoppable Ever Since

The battered glasses on the table showed just how many years they had served. The man slumped in his chair, put them on, and gazed at the trophies displayed on the table.

First place in the Demacia Cup, first place in the Spring Split, first place in the Summer Split, first place at MSI... It was hard to imagine that this near-Grand Slam of honors belonged to the middle-aged man sitting there, destitute and lost.

That had been his youth, and his whole life.

Some kid upstairs was watching videos on his phone. "Climb over that mountain..." "Legends never fade." The screen showed scene after scene of championship victories. The boy could never have imagined that the champion raising the trophy again and again on his phone was living in a shabby rented room right downstairs.

Hearing that familiar music, the middle-aged man suddenly froze. He straightened up as if taking part in a solemn ceremony, and memories of that golden rain came flooding back. Overcome with emotion, he unconsciously turned on the computer he had just shut down.

He hadn't logged into this account in a long time. Tonight, the man who had once dominated the entire league was back.
