I Made a Pact with a Taotie Beast and Battled in the Abyss Between the Three Realms

His father's bizarre disappearance sent Lu Jiuyuan, young master of the Lu family, plummeting in status. A strange dream of judgment, an eerie ink-colored jade pendant, and the abilities of a one-star water-element seal master, for which he was mocked and treated with contempt, made the down-on-his-luck youth's fate even more tangled. By a twist of fate, Lu Jiuyuan formed a pact with Taotie, an ancient ferocious beast, and his life took a pivotal turn. Under Taotie's guidance, the good-for-nothing youth grew stronger through one chance encounter after another, discovered his talent for two elements, and grasped the secret of domain expansion. Along Lu Jiuyuan's bumpy road, he had steadfast friends for life from Lan Ze Academy: Yue Yidong, a tsundere dream-eating girl; Ye Ling'er, a wood-element support who seemed like a gentle older sister but was ruthless when it came to crushing flowers; Dun Chen, a taciturn, simple, and lovable giant; Bai Jian, a light-element assassin who was the biggest chatterbox and brimming with confidence; and, of course, Lin Lan, a hot-blooded, chuunibyou spirit weapon master. As the world watched them grow through storms, it also seemed to conceal sinister upheavals. Would these changes bring fortune or disaster? How should they face them, and where would fate lead them?
