The Heavenly Sword: A Record of the Struggle for Supremacy

In ancient times, emperors throughout the ages passed down these words on their deathbeds: Whoever obtains the Heaven-Reliant Sword and the Deer-Slaying Saber can become emperor. Time flows like water, and the years pass like a stream. By the time of the Great Xia Dynasty, the emperor, Shi Guang, had become a foolish and tyrannical ruler, plunging the land into chaos. The Heaven-Reliant Sword and the Deer-Slaying Saber fell into the hands of the martial world. Warlords from every faction fought one another to seize the two weapons. Qin Ying and He Liying were appalled by the people dying in the wars and resolved to destroy the warlords. But they were too weak to achieve anything for the time being, so they had no choice but to attach themselves to a warlord, hoping to use his power to unify the land. Sadly, fate dealt them a cruel hand: whichever warlord they joined was wiped out by the treacherous hero Wang Shi. During one battle, Qin and He were pursued by Wang Shi's army and jumped off a cliff. They survived and unexpectedly met Situ Jing, a military genius. Situ Jing then aided Qin Ying in his grand ambition to unify the land, while also pursuing Jing Yu, the beautiful princess of Xia, for love...
