I Retired After Failing to Become an Immortal, but the Empress Begs Me to Return

Tired of all the fighting in the cultivation world, Gu Ye decides to retire and open a general store at the market.

Everything in the shop is made by his own hand. He also takes odd jobs, helping people forge artifacts, make pills, carve, and more.

This fulfilling life brings Gu Ye peace of mind, but gradually he realizes that something is off about his customers.

Some claim to be sect leaders, begging him to forge another sword and even inviting him to become their Grand Elder.

Some claim to be holy maidens of demonic cults, willing to do anything for him just to buy a single pill.

And some claim to be barbarian demon kings, offering themselves to him in hopes of obtaining his genes and bearing the next generation.

Even more absurdly, one day a woman of peerless beauty kneels outside the store, claiming to be an empress.

"My imperial dynasty is under a terrifying assault, and I can no longer hold out. Please come out of retirement, sir, and save the billions of my people!"

Gu Ye: "System, get out here and explain yourself!"
