I'm the Coolest at Fighting Monsters in a Mecha

Two years ago, I was a total loser, hounded by loan sharks, dumped by my girlfriend, and despised by my family. I was worth less alive than a dog! In despair, I chose to jump off a building and start over, never expecting that the leap would land me in another world. Not that I wanted to go there, mind you! They flew all the way over to invite me! And I couldn't even refuse! They insisted I was the great hero who would save their world! Hah! If I had what it took to be a hero, would I have jumped off a building?

I thought being a great hero would bring me endless wealth and glory. Who could have guessed they'd shove me straight at the monsters...
