Online Game: I'm the Beginner Village Chief, and I Don't Cheat

In 2050, the hyper-realistic game Taixu launched, breaking through all the limits of conventional games.

It offered gameplay like "free careers," "free cultivation techniques," "free exploration," and "custom creation."

Players could explore the game just as they would the real world.

On launch day, the servers were packed. Mo Zhu frantically tried to get in, triggering a game bug that trapped his consciousness inside the server and turned him into an NPC in the beginner village.

Mo Zhu hated seeing so many players cheat their way through quests. Not only did the System refuse to punish them, it punished him, the village chief of the beginner village, instead.

"I, Mo Zhu, swear to the server that I didn't cheat!"

"Can you even call what an NPC does cheating? That's just game mechanics!"

"I'm an NPC. I've just got a tiny bit more functionality than usual!"
