So You've Always Been There, Like the Stars Guarding the Sea

No matter where you are,

no matter how far away,

I'll be right here,

always right here.

Whenever you come toward me

and tell me about the stars and the sea,

will our love be like the stars

watching over the sea,

never leaving?

I come running to you.

You are the stars and the sea,

the blazing star in my eyes,

lighting my way through the long night.

I used to say that more than anything, I wanted to take you to see the stars and the sea.

Only later did I realize

that you were my stars and my sea all along.

Just one look at you is enough.
