Hikaru No Go: I Defeated AlphaGo, and Now I’m Back

A show called Exploring the Unknown is jointly produced by ten major conglomerates.

It was originally created to search for unknown species, but instead, a mysterious young man was discovered deep in the Qinling Mountains.

With his feet in the air and a thick, oily rope tied around them, the boy hangs upside down from a beam. In his hand is a black charcoal pencil, and below him is a Go board.

After every two moves, he does twenty sit-ups.

Over and over, day after day!

A year later, even Ke Jie can't solve the Go games he draws on the ground.

Five years later, his blindfolded Go beats AlphaGo.

Ten years later, after winning 108 games of upside-down Go, he defeats AlphaGo Zero. Then the man finally leaves the mountains.
