Creating a World in a Sandbox: I Plunder the Fruits of Civilization

In a primitive, savage age, the world is full of danger.

There are colossal creatures ** tens of thousands of feet tall, along with predators, trampling mountains and rivers, shattering the earth, and feeding on all living things.

Immortals descend to the mortal world, passing on the flame and teaching skills. In this perilous environment, humanity battles the giant beasts and at last builds the mighty Jiuli civilization.

One day, when people realize they cannot live forever, they brazenly raise their swords and tear open the sky, seeking to storm the immortal realm, kill the immortals, and take their place.

The immortals descend once more. With a single thought, mountains and rivers collapse; with another, all living beings are annihilated.

Looking at a world laid waste, the immortal simply smiles and says, "You are nothing but playthings I raise. How dare you defy me?"
