Three Kingdoms: Uniting the Lands Beyond the Sea from the Start

In the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the warlords were racking their brains to figure out how to expand their territories right under the emperor's nose. Meanwhile, Liu Yu, in Liaodong, poured resources into developing his navy. While everyone else had their eyes on the Han Empire, he seized the American continent, tens of thousands of miles away.

Potatoes, corn, chili peppers, and other crops had been brought to Liaodong early and selectively bred. After two generations of hard work, the whole region was prosperous and powerful, with an army of hundreds of thousands and warehouses full of more grain than anyone could eat.

Yet in the eyes of the Han court officials, Liaodong was still a barren wilderness with little food and few people.

When Liu Yu received an imperial summons to the capital, he knew the entire Han Empire was about to be stunned by his power.

Liu Bei: "I am descended from the Prince of Zhongshan, the great-grandson of Emperor Jing of Han."

Liu Yu: "Good boy. Call me Grandpa."

Sun Ce: "Liu Yu's army is unbeatable on land, but Jiangdong is crisscrossed with waterways. I will win."

Zhou Yu: "Bofu, thousands of enormous warships are sailing toward the coastal ports. We can't beat them."

Cao Cao: "Liu Yu has no interest in young girls. He actually..."
