Journey to the West: Starting by Abandoning My Saintly Rank

After the Investiture of the Gods calamity, the Jie Sect suffered a crushing defeat and Tongtian was confined to the Zixiao Palace, while Buddhism was allowed to flourish?

Having transmigrated as Tongtian and possessing a System, how could he meekly hide away from the world? He would renounce his position as a Sage, return to the Three Realms, and prove the Primordial Dao once more!

"You two Western Sages destroyed my Jie Sect and still expect Buddhism to flourish? Die!"

"Yuanshi, I always repay a grudge!"

He attacks Spirit Mountain, storms the Heavenly Palace, frees the three thousand mortal disciples, erases names from the Investiture of the Gods, and leaves not a single Chan Sect disciple alive!

"Tongtian, you ruined the rise of Buddhism. Then we'll make your Jie Sect suffer the same fate!"

"Third Brother, you've shown too little respect for your elders. Don't blame me if Second Brother shows no mercy!"

The two Western Sages and Yuanshi joined forces to try to kill Tongtian, only to discover that Tongtian had already attained the supreme Sagehood of the Great Dao.

"Tongtian, please, leave us some way out!"

Tongtian blew the three Sages to pieces. "Dream on!"
