Throne Among the Clouds

After a serious illness robbed a young boy of his childhood memories, his parents took him away from the treacherous capital of Kyoto and to a remote little city, hoping they could live out the rest of their days in peace. His fate seemed to have been decided long ago. One turbulent event after another swept him back into the whirlpool of power struggles. The old order teetered on the brink of collapse, a confidentiality agreement was forcibly broken, and the inheritances of the gods appeared one after another. Countless factions schemed and fought over them, throwing the mortal world into chaos. A false god descended, seeking to seize the throne...

The funeral bells of the apocalypse are about to ring. The bodies of the gods across the heavens will grow cold, and the souls of all living beings will be hollow. How many ants delude themselves into thinking they can claim the throne? They will all return to heaven as souls. When will you awaken and rule the world, my king?
