The River and Mountains Decree

I am a son of the Han people,

My homeland is Huaxia,

My bloodline is that of Yan and Huang.

The hoofbeats that carved our deeds into Mount Yan have long since faded,

And the crowns of the myriad nations' visiting dignitaries have grown yellow with age.

I have walked eighty thousand li of desolation,

And borne a thousand years of glory.

The hot blood of our ancestors

Surges through your chest and mine.

Descendants of Yan and Huang,

Born of the divine,

The sons of the Han people shine with their own radiance.

The sun has risen over the eastern hills,

And the spring breeze sweeps across the wilderness.

By the spring waters, I straighten my Han robes,

Then gaze at the heavens and point my sword toward the horizon.

Our long spears plunge into the sea,

And the winds lie calm for ten thousand li.

Our sharp swords patrol the skies,

Blessing all the people of Huaxia.

Wherever the sun and moon shine,

Our people ride across the battlefield.

Wherever rivers flow,

All receive Heaven's grace and the fragrance of trees.

The mighty winds of Great Qi

Make wolves gentle,

Make demons kind,

And let a hundred flowers adorn the land.

Let all people smile.
