Moonlit Night over the Spring River

This is a fictional ancient world where the emperor loves calligraphy. Those who write well have a chance to rise to the top overnight and become famous throughout the land. The story follows the male lead, Lan Yi, whose father is framed and thrown in prison. After his mother drowns herself in a river, he is sold to a wealthy household, where he becomes involved with the eldest daughter, Xia Linlin. As a famous Tang dynasty poem, "Spring River Flower Moon Night" becomes the bridge through which the two leads share their deepest feelings during their days of despair.
