The Song of Shengfeng

Empress Yuan Qian held out a bowl of medicinal soup to Consort Wei Xingtang. "Consort Wei, this is the medicine I've given you to protect your pregnancy. Do you dare refuse to drink it?"

Wei Xingtang: "I would never refuse a gift from Your Majesty. I'll drink it now."

Yang Su: "Second Miss, you mustn't!"

Yuan Qian kicked Yang Su to the ground and said viciously, "A mere palace maid like you has no right to speak here. I could have you killed, and no one would dare ask a single question."

Wei Xingtang shielded Yang Su and said, "Her Majesty only wants me to protect my pregnancy and preserve His Majesty's only child in recent years. Why get angry over a palace maid?"

Wei Xingtang picked up the medicinal soup on the table and drank it. Seeing her drink it, Yuan Qian left with her servants, satisfied.

Wei Xingtang clutched her stomach tightly. Looking at the blood between her legs, she smiled. Yang Su cried, "Quick, call the imperial physician! Hurry!"
